Naoussa Journalism Festival Greece

The Municipality of the Heroic City of Naoussa and the European Communication Institute (E.C.I.) are co-organizing for the first time the 1st Naoussa Journalism Festival (NJF), a new and ambitious event dedicated to journalism, news and information, communication, and content creation.

The Festival will take place in Naoussa fand aims to evolve into a high-quality institution that will bring journalists, academics, experts, students, creators, and citizens from across the country into a creative dialogue.

Main theme of the first edition:

Communication – Journalism – Democracy
More Freedom VS More Security

At a time when technology, artificial intelligence, and misinformation deeply influence the way information is produced and distributed, the Festival seeks to open a meaningful dialogue about the role of journalism and communication in the functioning of democratic societies.

At the same time, the Naoussa Journalism Festival develops a modern identity that connects journalism, public dialogue, and the experience of a place. With this philosophy, the Festival is not simply a journalism conference, but an event where journalism meets place, creating an environment for meaningful exchange of ideas within a vibrant community.
